This setting of the familiar Celtic melody, "Ash Grove," is set to a non-traditional style including jazzy chords (but does not explore jazzy rhythms). The tempo can be quick for a lively interpretation or slow for a mellow, contemplative mood. This arrangement is suitable for prelude, special music, or postlude in worship, or can be performed in public settings as Celtic standard repertoire.
